Applicants should have a PhD or equivalent degree in epidemiology, biostatistics, or related quantitative health research area.
Methodologic expertise in at least one of following areas is required: 1) causal inference methods (e.g. g-methods, causal mediation analysis, marginal structural models, etc...), 2) econometric and quasi-experimental designs (e.g. difference-in-difference and synthetic control methods, regression discontinuity methods, etc...).or 3) computational and simulation modeling (e.g. microsimulation, state transition modeling, system dynamics, etc...).
The substantive area of interest (e.g. heart diseases, stroke, obesity & type 2 diabetes, Alzheimer's diseases and other dementias, cancers, etc..) may vary depending on candidate's interests and funding requirements.
